Frequently Asked Questions
QUESTION | ANSWER |
---|---|
Why must each user have their own email address? | Individual users need their own credentials so: - Attendance times for Work Orders can be tracked for each person - Qualifications can be tracked against each user |
Is my CMMS password the same as my email password? | No, CBC CMMS has its own authorisation service and will be different from logins for other systems. You could set up the same password as your work email password if desired. |
I have received a Verification email. What is my password? | When your account is first created, the password needs to be reset before you can login. From the login screen, use the “Don’t remember your password” link to begin the password reset process. Note: CBC will not manually change or provide your password. |
How can I setup the CMMS App on my device? | CBC CMMS App can be downloaded to your mobile device from the Google play store (for Android users) App store (for Apple iPhone users). Search for ‘CBC CMMS Technician App’ |
Why can’t I use a shared email address to log into CMMS? | Shared email addresses do not refer to a single user, therefore it is not possible to track qualifications for each user who might use the account. Shared email addresses can be used as a mailbox to receive communication but cannot be used for login purposes. |
How can I reset my password securely? | When on the login screen (on the App or the Portal) use the ‘Don't remember your password?’ link. A password reset email will be sent to your registered email address. |
How should a user send their Work Order paperwork to CBC via CMMS? | All Work Order paperwork should be uploaded via either the App or the CBC CMMS Portal. See: CBC-PROC-207 Attach Paperwork to a Work Order_(Provider) See: CMMS-PROC-025 CMMS App - Technician Instructions |
Why must each user log on to Work Orders? | It is necessary to Log On and Off all jobs so: - We can alert you if there is an incident on site - We can verify your times on site for invoicing purposes - Job statuses can be updated automatically, which can then be viewed by CBC and our Clients in real time. |
